Lucy Boston made me do it

Welcome πŸ™‚

There seems to have been a flurry of interest over the Lucy Boston quilts this year around here. Quite a number of my quilty pals have started making her most well known quilt, Patchwork of the Crosses, and after resolving not to concentrate on anything but my Dear Jane quilt I succumbed and started making one too. Poor Jane – will she ever get finished?

I’m making a 9 block version and have enjoyed the fussy cutting involved although am slightly horrified at the amount of fabric which is wasted. However I clearly overcame my horror to produce these blocks…

I’m now slowly, slowly working on the borders and corner blocks. These should keep me busy over Christmas when only a bit of hand sewing will do πŸ˜‰

I hope all your preparations for Christmas are under control, I’m getting there but am finding way too many distractions! Son 2 is coming home tomorrow and I can’t wait πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚

Take care.

Until next time,

Chris x
