UFO Indian Summer

Welcome ๐Ÿ™‚

After a slow sewing time over the summer I’m gradually getting back into my sewing room.

I’ve started on a couple of Christmas presents which I must remember to photograph so I can share them with you in 4 months time (!) but apart from that I’ve been trying to finish off some UFOs.

The first one was just a simple little ‘turn up the hem job’ on an Altar frontal. It had been sitting in the ‘to do’ pile since Easter waiting for me to be inspired to get it done! It literally only took 15 minutes to do – now it’s waiting for me to take it back to Church where it belongs – hope it won’t take me another 4 months to do that ๐Ÿ˜‰

Something I can show you is my progress on my last of a series of three flower wall hangings.

I mentioned this one in a blog post here and it is finally getting some attention.

I’ve finished quilting it and put a facing on it – I was so glad I’d blogged about the process of doing facings when I made the first wall hanging of this series as I definitely needed to read up about how I did it. The tutorial is from my old blog and can be found here.

I embroidered the flower stems ย on today at my quilting group and am ready to sew on the little 3D flowers.

What are you working on?

Until next time,

Chris x

  1. I like your flowers. You have given me a new idea. Oh no i really don’t need a new project….but oh well what is one more.
